Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of AlarmDD, including the AlarmDD website, phone-number entry flow, reminder software, SMS reminder delivery, billing flow, customer care, and related services.

AlarmDD is operated by Mela Roo, Inc., 201 Rue Beauregard, Ste 202, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508, USA.

By using AlarmDD, entering a phone number, selecting Send My First Reminder, confirming a phone number, texting AlarmDD, creating a reminder, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these Terms and the AlarmDD Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use AlarmDD.

2. Service

AlarmDD is a personal reminder service. You can verify a phone number you control, receive an assigned reminder number when available, text reminder requests, and receive reminder texts based on the reminder content and timing you create.

You are responsible for the reminder text you send, the schedule you request, the phone number you use, and checking that any reminder was created correctly. AlarmDD is not a calendar system, emergency system, medical monitoring system, legal-deadline system, or guaranteed delivery service.

3. Eligibility And Phone Control

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and old enough to consent to receive text messages in your jurisdiction. AlarmDD is not intended for children under 13.

You may only use AlarmDD with phone numbers you own or control. Do not enter, verify, or use another person's phone number unless that person has clearly authorized you to do so and has agreed to receive AlarmDD texts.

If you lose access to a verified number, transfer it, cancel it, or stop controlling it, stop using AlarmDD from that number and contact customer care if account help is needed.

4. SMS Program

The SMS program name is AlarmDD reminder texts. By entering your phone number, selecting Send My First Reminder, and completing phone confirmation, you agree to receive AlarmDD verification texts, test reminder texts, reminder texts, account notices, billing notices, and support texts at that phone number.

• Message frequency varies based on the reminders you create and the account or support activity you request.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply UNSUBSCRIBE to stop all messages for that phone number.
• Reply HELP for help instructions or contact support@alarmdd.com.
• Reply START to resume if the number is eligible and the service supports resubscription.
• Standard carrier opt-out words are also honored.
• Consent to receive AlarmDD texts is not a condition of purchase.

Carriers, SMS providers, and messaging intermediaries are not liable for delayed, blocked, filtered, duplicated, or undelivered messages. AlarmDD may be unable to deliver messages to some carriers, phone numbers, regions, devices, or account types.

5. Billing

Your first reminder is free. After that, phone-entry SMS reminder use costs $3.99 per active week only when you use it, unless a different price is shown to you at checkout or in the service. Idle weeks do not charge.

Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment processor. You authorize AlarmDD and its payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for amounts shown at checkout and for later charges you explicitly approve, including when AlarmDD asks you to start or continue an active week.

Prices may change prospectively with notice. Taxes, carrier fees, payment processor fees, and other required charges may apply. Except where required by law, charges are non-refundable once an active week or paid service period has started.

You can stop future reminder texts by replying UNSUBSCRIBE. Stopping texts may limit or disable the service for that number. Billing cancellation, refund, or account questions should be sent to support@alarmdd.com.

6. Acceptable Use

Use AlarmDD only for lawful personal reminders and authorized reminder workflows. Do not use AlarmDD for spam, unsolicited marketing, bulk messaging, harassment, threats, fraud, impersonation, abusive content, illegal activity, or messages to people who have not consented.

Do not use AlarmDD for emergency dispatch, crisis response, medical monitoring, medication safety, legal deadlines, financial deadlines, security alarms, child safety, elder care, hazardous work, or any situation where a missed, delayed, blocked, incorrect, or duplicated reminder could cause harm.

Do not submit content that is unlawful, exploitative, hateful, sexually explicit, abusive, invasive of privacy, or carrier-prohibited. Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, abuse trial or billing systems, reverse engineer the service, interfere with service operations, or access accounts, systems, or data without permission.

7. Reminder Content

You keep ownership of reminder content you submit. You grant AlarmDD the limited right to receive, store, process, parse, transmit, display, and delete that content as needed to provide, secure, support, troubleshoot, improve, and comply with the service.

AlarmDD may reject, block, delay, shorten, reformat, or remove reminder content when needed for carrier compliance, safety, security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, deliverability, or service reliability.

8. Privacy And Data

The AlarmDD Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how deletion requests work, how we handle SMS opt-in consent, and how we use encryption and other safeguards.

AlarmDD does not sell or share SMS opt-in consent with third parties for their marketing. We may share information with service providers only as needed to operate AlarmDD, including sending SMS, processing payments, hosting the service, preventing abuse, complying with carrier and legal requirements, and providing customer care.

9. Third-Party Services

AlarmDD may rely on third-party providers for SMS delivery, payment processing, hosting, security, logging, analytics, customer care, email, and other operations. These providers may have their own terms, policies, outages, filters, fees, and limits.

Payment card details are handled by the payment processor and are not stored directly by AlarmDD.

10. Service Changes And Suspension

We may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue all or part of AlarmDD at any time. We may block accounts, phone numbers, reminders, payments, or messages if we believe there is abuse, fraud, carrier risk, security risk, legal risk, billing failure, technical risk, or a violation of these Terms.

11. Intellectual Property

AlarmDD, the website, software, brand, designs, logos, text, workflows, and service technology are owned by AlarmDD or its licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of AlarmDD intellectual property.

You may not copy, resell, sublicense, scrape, reverse engineer, or use AlarmDD to build a competing service except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to do so.

12. Disclaimers

AlarmDD is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AlarmDD disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

AlarmDD does not guarantee that any reminder will be created, parsed correctly, scheduled correctly, delivered on time, delivered once, delivered at all, or seen by you.

13. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AlarmDD will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for missed reminders, delayed messages, blocked messages, billing interruptions, provider failures, device failures, carrier filtering, or loss of data.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AlarmDD's total liability for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid AlarmDD for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or $50.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AlarmDD and its owners, operators, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your use of AlarmDD, your reminder content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your use of a phone number without proper authorization or consent.

15. Disputes

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact legal@alarmdd.com and give AlarmDD a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, claims must be brought only on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff, class member, or representative in any class, collective, consolidated, private attorney general, or representative action. Any arbitration, venue, governing-law, and entity-specific terms should be finalized by counsel based on AlarmDD's legal entity and state of organization.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms as the service, pricing, carriers, law, providers, or business needs change. The updated date above shows the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
